Apple

This painting was what taught me a few things about color I believe. I learned something from every painting, but this small one is where something big clicked.

Popcorn

This was painted with a palette knife. I had a little difficulty as you can probably see...but I believe that was the point of the assignment. :)

Paper bag?

Well, this assigment was given one of the first few days of class. We were given a peach and a paper bag and we were supposed to create a composition involving the two. Mine ended up being of mostly the paper bag though...whoops....

Donut

My rendition of one of my favorite sweets! I sturggled with this painting at first, and when I finished, I was not happy with it. Looking back on it now though....I'm not sure why I was unsatisfied with it. It makes me hungry.

Ole blue eyes

This is Frank. I mostly chose to paint him because of his shaply hat and the interesting stripes and dots of his outfit. As I painted him, and especially after I added his eyes, I seemed to develop a realtionship with him. It was such a strange feeling to be looking at the canvas, and be bringing this face to life. It seemed like he was really there....very strange I know...

I am pleased with how he turned out and estatic that my first "real" paitning is one I can be proud of. :)
